Un-Offendable!

What does it even look like to be unoffendable. I don't know what that looks like. With this definition I am made aware that just being irritated means you're offended ...ok then. I'm irritated often but usually I blow it off. I say my little prayer...I forgive them, I bless them, I release them. Regardless if I feel like it or not. That is after I've calmed down.
I found myself getting extremely mad yesterday to the point I had to remain silent and withdrawn until I calmed down because any thing I said would erupt into a violent word vomit of negative words and expression. Are you shocked? Well you shouldn't be because I'm human! I'm usually pretty chillaxed for the most part but I have buttons too and yesterday it seemed like a two year old was left unattended at my control panel
I guess when you pray that prayer "Lord Make me unofendable" watch the tidal wave of offenses come but I'm realizing it's what you do, when they do. Because they are going to come! You're going to feel that disrespect, pain, anger, or irritation but it's what you do in the processing of it that makes you an overcomer or not.
The bible says Be angry and sin not. Meaning OH yes, I will get angry but I can control myself with what I choose to do with the feelings I'm feeling. It's not a sin, having feelings of offense....It is a sin when you don't forgive and you react in retaliation or based upon those feelings by doing the wrong thing. So let's be clear. We will feel hurt, pain, irritation, rejection, and anger but we don't have to agree with it and react in it. We can choose to walk in love with the unlovable and the undeservng and unthankful. It is isn't fair but to be like Christ I have to graduate to this point where I repay evil with love and good. Not tit for tat. #VengeanceIsMineSaysTheLord #RetaliationIsNOTTheAnswer #WalkingOutOffense #NeverendingLesson #GrowingPains #NewLevel
