The Girl in the glass case

This morning I’m reminded of my childhood; porcelain dolls were collectible items. People would buy them and put them in glass cases to protect them and display them.
Today, I thought about women being those girls in glass cases. So beautiful and flawless and yet ineffective, powerless, stationary, and completely robbed of all potential to be seen as more!
I was a trophy wife for almost 20 years sitting in a glass case of someone else’s desires and wants all the while my true beauty and gifts were hidden from the world. Yes, I could dress up the shelf and occasionally compliment him, and make him feel accomplished but I was so much more!
I was more than a body and face. I also had a heart, and mind and desires and wants of my own. But I allowed myself to become encased in someone else’s identity for me.
I didn’t know who I was!
But God! Who the Son has set free is free indeed! I was completely rocked, my world turned upside down and yes my glass case was shattered into a million pieces and I emerged a set on fire, sold out to Christ.... lioness roaring and warring for her King Jesus! Completely in love with him and forever changed.
I was never meant to be contained I was meant to be free! A man of God will encourage you to go and grow in the ways of the Lord! He will encourage Gods plan for your life and remind you of what God says about you! He will partner with God to encourage you and pray you right into your destiny. He will empower you to do what God says. Even if that means he doesn’t get his way! He will agree with the vision of heaven and support you along the way.
Never allow someone to put you in a glass case of limits, a clear jail cell! But embrace your identity as God says and infect the world with the greatness he’s put in you! You were created for MORE!!!
